Chemical ecology preprint

This preprint by Zhen, Praful, ALex, and David shows that chemical reaction networks can contain autocatalytic cycles which can show logistic growth when fed with a flux of food. Furthermore, when multiple autocatalytic cycles are present they can interact in diverse ways that resemble the interactions of species in an ecosystem, including competition, mutualism, predation/parasitism, occupancy advantage, and succession.
